Architecture in Climate of Change - UK Summer 2012

Architecture in a Changing Environment Summer School Program was run in collaboration with the University of Lincoln - Lincoln School of Architecture (LSA) between 8-22 July 2012. The summer school proved to be very popular and attracted over 170 students from more than ten different countries who all enjoyed a challenging fourteen day mix of field trips, lectures, seminars, hands-on learning workshops and design studio projects. Both summer school programs emphasised sustainable and resilient architecture in both contemporary and historical contexts, guest speakers from leading built environment organisations, architectural firms and practices such as the Prince's Foundation for Building Community (PFBC); Buro Happold, HOK, Studio E; Kilburn Nightingale, English Heritage and Crick Smith Conservation. The summer school programs delivered at the LSA were designed to suit students and recent graduates interested in Design, Architecture, Architectural Heritage, Urban Design, Landscape Design, Renewable Energy Technologies and Sustainability in the Built Environment.
